The Best Way To Increase Awareness and Differentiate Your Business Is Through Social Media Brand Videos.

What’s so special about social media brand videos? They combine two of the most powerful tools available to marketers today.

First, video is by far the #1 communication method. According to the latest statistics, 87% of marketers say video marketing has helped them increase sales. And 89% of consumers say watching a video has convinced them to buy a product or service.

And second, social media channels have become a primary source for product advice. Consumers trust other people—even people they don’t know—more than marketers or brand websites.

Social Media Brand Videos

People are using social media to discuss products, compare brands, ask for advice, and offer opinions.

However, that doesn’t mean they want to be sold to. Consumers today want to know more about brands, what they stand for and what makes them different.

Honesty and authenticity are key.

American Spirit Works

Here are some examples of social media brand videos from American Spirit Works, a craft distillery based in Atlanta.

I was introduced to ASW through my neighborhood. The homeowners association scheduled a private event there, kind of a "meet and greet" for the homeowners. So I took my camera to film a short event video.

And of course, that led to getting hired to shoot the various interviews.

The neighborhood footage ended up being used for B Roll.

Telling Brand Stories

I ended up shooting the interviews in less than a day. Everyone there is really passionate about the craft spirit movement, and that obviously came through in their on-camera comments.

My goal was to identify things that would differentiate ASW. I think these videos do just that.
